Wild Body Project
Exploring presence, movement and imagination through the body.

What is Wild Body Project?
Wild Body Project is an exploration of the body as a living, sensing and transformative space.
Inspired by Butoh, experimental theatre practices and embodied research, it investigates the dialogue between the body, inner imagery and the environment. Through movement, stillness, sensory exploration and improvisation, the project searches for new ways of experiencing and expressing the body beyond habitual forms.
The Practice
Wild Body Project is rooted in embodied exploration — a practice of listening to the body, its sensations, impulses and inner landscapes.
Drawing from Butoh, experimental theatre practices and movement research, the practice explores the body as a source of creativity, imagination and expression. Through improvisation, stillness, movement, voice, imagery and interaction with space, we investigate different ways of sensing and experiencing the body.
The practice embraces uncertainty, curiosity and transformation, allowing new forms of movement and expression to emerge.
Practices & Workshops
Wild Body Project offers ongoing practices, workshops and creative sessions that create a space for personal exploration, creativity and connection through embodied work.
Each session is an invitation to step away from everyday routines and enter a slower, more attentive way of experiencing oneself and the surrounding space. Through guided exercises, improvisation and creative tasks, participants explore movement, perception and expression in an open and supportive environment.
No previous dance experience or physical training is required. The practices welcome people with different bodies, abilities and life experiences. Each participant is invited to explore movement in their own way, at their own pace.
Artistic Research / Works
Wild Body Project is an ongoing artistic practice exploring experimental performance, video and interdisciplinary forms of expression.
Through research and creative projects, it investigates new relationships between body, art and perception.
About
Wild Body Project was created by Viktorija Vosyliūtė, a creator working at the intersection of theatre, psychology and embodied artistic research.
Her artistic journey began with studies in film acting, followed by psychology studies and independent explorations in experimental theatre and body-based practices. Over the past few years, she has been developing her artistic research in a small Italian village, where she became deeply interested in Butoh and its approaches to the body, memory, ancestry and transformation.
Through her work, Viktorija explores the body not only as a physical form, but as a space where memories, images and experiences can emerge. She does not approach movement as a dance technique, but as a way of listening, discovering and expressing.
Currently, she is further exploring the field of Drama Therapy, seeking ways to connect artistic practice with supportive processes that can contribute to deeper self-awareness, creativity and personal expression.
